Mookie Morris is a singer-songwriter and guitar player.  Mookie started playing music at the age of 12, and has played in many bands before being featured on Canadian Idol and becoming a nationally recognized artist.  We talk about Mookie’s wild foray into live shows, his early teenage bands, and reaching his early dreams by being signed to Sony Music at 18, and the aftermath of being on the other side.  We talk about his solo project, to being in a democratic band where he slipped into the back from centre stage and his now re-emergence as a front person.  With Owen Norquay on Bass, and Luis Figueroa on Drums, The Mooks are releasing new singles every two weeks with “Going Steady and “It’s Not Easy” so far released.

Hill Kourkoutis is a songwriter, producer, multi instrumentalist and film maker.  She has performed alongside, Serena Ryder, The Weeknd, Martha and the Muffins, Tara Slone and more. We talk about Hill’s early roots playing music in Toronto while in high school, and how it has lead her to her work as an in demand producer, working out of her studio called, The Lair.  We discuss early songwriting, following your passions, and waiting for the creative muse to take you on your next journey.  Hill was recently part of CTV’s The Launch as a member of the house band.

Sean Ward is a professional youtuber, rapper, cartoonist and MC.  We talk about his beginnings selling comic books on the Toronto streets, to now having an office overlooking the spot he sold his first comic.  His highly successful Youtube page, The Sean Ward Show (Superhero fan parody series) has crossed the 1 million subscriber-ship mark, and is also about to hit 1 billion views.  Sean is an old friend and big time mentor, though we detoured away from music for the majority of the podcast, Sean has an album, “I want to get to you personally”, which will be released in the upcoming months.
